Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on February 12 underscored the importance of accelerating the development of power sources, including nuclear energy, while chairing the fifth meeting of the Steering Committee for Nuclear Power Plant Construction.

According to Vietnam News Agency, during the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for more vigorous implementation of nuclear power projects. He highlighted that the development of nuclear energy is crucial for ensuring energy security and supporting the nation's economic growth.

The Prime Minister called for the committee to enhance its efforts in planning and executing nuclear power projects, urging all relevant agencies to work collaboratively to overcome any challenges in the process.
