Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has congratulated the state-owned Vietnam National Industry – Energy Group (Petrovietnam) on securing the nation’s energy, food, and economic security, while also ensuring social welfare and maritime sovereignty. Addressing the 4th Party Congress of Petrovietnam for the 2025-2030 tenure in Hanoi on August 3, PM Chinh praised the group for meeting and surpassing all 12 targets set out in its third Party Congress’s Resolution. He attributed its success to strategic restructuring, strict adherence to the Party and State’s policies and guidelines, and improved policies and mechanisms in the energy sector, especially oil and gas.
According to Vietnam News Agency, PM Chinh expressed his expectation for Petrovietnam to rank among the top five enterprises in the region. The Prime Minister highlighted the group’s critical role in the nation’s development, urging continued innovation and efficiency to achieve this ambitious goal. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between economic growth and social responsibilities, ensuring that Petrovietnam remains a key player in enhancing Vietnam’s energy independence and security.
