Initial information is that the area of ??the incident is approximately 2 kilometers from the entrance of the tunnel to the scene. The tunnel work is under Contract 3-2, Muak Lek and Lam Takhong Tunnel, a distance of 12.23 kilometers. A landslide buried workers while they were drilling a tunnel. The incident occurred at the Thai-Chinese high-speed railway tunnel drilling site, Khlong Khanan Chit section. The contractor's staff were mobilizing backhoes to dig soil into trucks to help the workers trapped inside the tunnel. The site staff stated that at the time of the incident, workers were using a backhoe and a loader to dig a tunnel in the area, which was about 600 meters deep from the tunnel entrance. The foreman was driving a sedan to supervise the work. But suddenly, the mountain soil collapsed and crushed all three cars with a loud noise. The cause was unknown. At that time, there was no rain. As for the two workers and the foreman who were buried in the collapsed tunnel, their fates are still unknown.
