Hanoi:Swiss President Guy Parmelin, accompanied by his spouse Caroline Parmelin and a high-ranking Swiss delegation, has arrived in Hanoi. They are beginning a two-day official visit to Vietnam, which commenced on the morning of October 17.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit is at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam, along with his spouse. Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, the Swiss delegation was received by Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang.
