Top Cuban Legislator Pays Tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

Hanoi: President of the National Assembly of People’s Power and President of the Council of State of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez and his entourages laid wreaths and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, a national liberation hero and a great man of culture of Vietnam, at his mausoleum in Hanoi on October 1, as part of his official visit to Vietnam. The same day, the Cuban delegation also laid wreaths at the monument dedicated to war heroes and martyrs on Bac Son street, and at Cuban national hero Jos© Mart­’s statue in the capital city.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit of Esteban Lazo Hernandez underscores the longstanding ties between Cuba and Vietnam. By paying respects at significant memorials, the Cuban delegation highlighted the shared values and historical connections between the two nations. The homage to President Ho Chi Minh and Jos© Mart­, both revered figures in their respective countries, signifies the mutual respect and friendship that have been cultivated over the years.
