Top Leader Calls for Measurable Progress in Institutional Perfection

Hanoi: Measurable progress must be achieved by the end of 2026 in reducing administrative procedures, removing institutional bottlenecks and improving legal frameworks across key sectors, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam stressed while chairing the first meeting of the central steering committee for institutional perfection and law enforcement in Hanoi on June 22.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting highlighted the need for a clear roadmap to address existing challenges within the administrative and legal systems. To Lam emphasized the significance of setting tangible goals for the committee's work, aiming to streamline processes and enhance efficiency across governmental operations.

The central steering committee, established to oversee and guide reforms, will focus on evaluating current institutional practices and identifying areas in need of immediate improvement. The objective is to create a more responsive and transparent system that can effectively meet the demands of the country's development and integration into the global economy.

Efforts will also be directed toward strengthening the legal frameworks governing various sectors, ensuring that they align with international standards and practices. The committee is tasked with regularly monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure that the set targets are met by the 2026 deadline.
