Hanoi: Party General Secretary To Lam, who is also head of the Central Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption, Wastefulness and Negative Phenomena, chaired a conference in Hanoi on December 11 to evaluate the country’s anti-corruption combat throughout the 13th National Party Congress’s term. Held in hybrid format, the conference linked more than 4,000 locations from ministries, agencies, military zones, armed forces units, cities, provinces, communes, districts, and special administrative units nationwide, with over 190,000 delegates joining either in person or online.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the conference aimed to assess the efforts and measures taken to curb corruption across various sectors during the current party leadership’s term. The participants included key officials from different governmental and military sectors, emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive and unified approach to tackle corruption and wastefulness.
The meeting not only reviewed past actions but also sought to outline future strategies to intensify the fight against corruption. The extensive participation highlights the significance of the issue and the commitment at all levels of the government and military to address it effectively.
