Hanoi: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam met with representatives of Zarubezhneft JSC, AFK Sistema, and M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in Moscow on September 9 as part of his state visit to Russia.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting aimed to strengthen economic and educational ties between Vietnam and Russia. The discussions with Zarubezhneft JSC, a major oil and gas company, focused on expanding cooperation in energy projects. Talks with AFK Sistema, a prominent investment company, explored potential investments in Vietnam's technology and telecommunications sectors.

Additionally, the meeting with M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University highlighted the importance of educational exchanges and collaborations. Both sides expressed interest in increasing the number of Vietnamese students studying in Russia and enhancing joint research initiatives.
