Venezuela Cherishes Vietnam’s Sincere Solidarity

Caracas: The Venezuelan government hosted a farewell ceremony on July 9 for Vietnam's rescue and relief team as it departed for home after successfully completing its humanitarian mission following the twin earthquakes that struck the South American nation on June 24. The ceremony took place at Sim³n Bol­var International Airport in Caracas and saw attendance from key figures including Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yv¡n Gil Pinto, Vice Foreign Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania Andrea Corea, and senior officials from the Ministry of Defence and other relevant agencies.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnamese team was involved in extensive rescue operations and relief efforts in the aftermath of the earthquakes. Their mission contributed significantly to the recovery and assistance efforts in Venezuela during a challenging period. The farewell ceremony was a gesture of appreciation and acknowledgement from the Venezuelan authorities for the support and solidarity shown by Vietnam in times of need.
