Geneva: Vietnam has reaffirmed its active and responsible role at the 61st regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), which concluded in Geneva on March 31 after six weeks of meetings amid increasingly complex global developments. Starting from February 23, the session took place against a backdrop of prolonged conflicts and instability in many regions worldwide. Notably, escalating tensions related to the Middle East conflict prompted the Council to convene two urgent debates on March 25 and 27. According to Vietnam News Agency, the session highlighted Vietnam's commitment to addressing global human rights issues and its proactive engagement in discussions. Vietnam's participation at the UNHRC underscores its dedication to contributing to international efforts aimed at resolving pressing human rights challenges. The council's agenda was heavily influenced by ongoing global conflicts, with special attention given to Middle East tensions, which required urgent deliberations during the session.
