Phnom penh: The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia organized a gathering with the Standing Board of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) Central Committee on April 2 in Phnom Penh. This event was held to celebrate Cambodia's Choul Chnam Thmey 2026 and the successful conclusion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV). High-ranking Cambodian officials attended the gathering, including CPP Vice President Samdech Sar Kheng, CPP Vice President and Chairman of the Standing Board of the CPP Central Committee Samdech Say Chhum, and President of the National Assembly Samdech Khuon Sudary, along with other members of the CPP Central Committee.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the gathering aimed to promote friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia. The event highlighted the close ties and mutual respect shared by the two nations, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in various fields. During the meeting, leaders from both parties discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and explore new opportunities for cooperation.
