Vietnam and Republic of Korea Enhance Collaboration in Semiconductor and AI Training

Asan: Representatives from four Vietnamese educational establishments, including Mekong University, Can Tho University of Technology, Saigon College of Technology, and Can Tho Vocational College, held a working session with Hoseo University in Asan city, Republic of Korea, on June 22. The meeting aimed to establish a workforce training partnership focusing on semiconductors, electronics, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation, crucial areas demanding skilled professionals.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the session involved discussions about academic partnerships, curriculum transfer, research capacity building, and the implementation of applied training linkage models like 2+2 and 3+1. These collaborative efforts are designed to enhance educational frameworks and equip students with necessary skills for emerging industries.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese educational institutions signed memoranda of understanding with Hoseo University. This agreement is expected to provide opportunities for quality workforce training, significantly contributing to digital transformation and fostering a knowledge-based economy in both countries.
