Vietnam, China Enhance Public Security Cooperation

Beijing: Politburo member and Minister of Public Security Gen. Luong Tam Quang met with senior Chinese officials in Beijing on April 14 while accompanying General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and State President To Lam and his spouse on their state visit to China. He met with Politburo member and Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Chen Wenqing; Secretary of the CPC Central Committee's Secretariat and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong; and Minister of State Security Chen Yixin.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meetings aimed to strengthen the public security ties between Vietnam and China. This visit highlights the growing cooperation between the two countries in areas of security and law enforcement, reflecting the commitment of both nations to enhance their strategic partnership in maintaining regional stability. The discussions between Gen. Luong Tam Quang and Chinese officials focused on collaborative efforts to address various security challenges and the sharing of intelligence and best practices in public security management.

The meeting between Gen. Luong Tam Quang and his Chinese counterparts signifies a continuation of the dialogue and cooperation between Vietnam and China on matters of mutual interest.
