Vietnam Honours Russian Friend with Friendship Order

Moscow: The Friendship Order, the highest distinction granted by the Vietnamese State to foreigners, has been bestowed upon Anatoli Dmitrievich Artamonov, Chair of the Federation Council Committee on the Budget and Financial Markets and former Governor of Kaluga Oblast. Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi, on behalf of the President of Vietnam, presented the order at a ceremony held on November 4.

According to Vietnam News Agency, this prestigious award was conferred in recognition of Artamonov’s significant contributions to strengthening the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Russia. His efforts have been particularly noted in enhancing the economic ties and fostering mutual understanding between the two nations.

Artamonov, who has held various influential positions in Russia, has been a long-standing supporter of Vietnamese-Russian relations. His tenure as the Governor of Kaluga Oblast was marked by initiatives that promoted bilateral trade and investment, further solidifying the partnership between the two countries.

The ceremony, attended by high-ranking officials from both Vietnam and Russia, highlighted the importance of international friendships and the role individuals like Artamonov play in nurturing such alliances. The Friendship Order serves as a testament to Vietnam’s appreciation of Artamonov’s efforts and his enduring friendship with the Vietnamese people.
