Vietnam International Financial Centre Urged to Prioritise Real-Generating Financial Products

Hanoi: Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang has called on the Vietnam International Financial Centre (VIFC) to focus on financial products that can generate real transactions and attract medium- and long-term capital for the economy. Thang, who serves as Chairman of the VIFC Executive Council, emphasized this directive during a council meeting held in Hanoi on August 19. The meeting was also attended online by officials from Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, regions that support the operations of the VIFC.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Thang highlighted the importance of developing financial instruments that do not only circulate within financial markets but also contribute to the real economy. He stressed that the VIFC should aim to create an environment that encourages the flow of sustainable capital, which is essential for the nation's economic growth and stability.
