Vientiane: A delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang, paid a working visit to Laos on July 15 - 16. During this visit, both nations agreed to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences concerning overseas Vietnamese and Lao communities. Part of the delegation's itinerary included a courtesy call by the Vietnamese diplomat on Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongsavanh Phomvihane, as well as talks with Lao Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Phongsavanh Sisoulath.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties specifically in managing and supporting their respective overseas communities. Both sides expressed a commitment to continue collaborating on these issues, recognizing the importance of their expatriate populations in fostering closer relations between Vietnam and Laos.
