Vietnam Receives Remains of Fallen Soldiers from Cambodia

Hanoi: The Special Task Committees of Vietnam's An Giang province and Cambodia's Takeo province have officially signed a handover record for the remains of 14 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts. These individuals, who perished during the wartime period, were recovered in Cambodia during the 2025-2026 dry season. The signing ceremony took place at the Takeo Provincial Administration Office in Cambodia, marking a significant step in the ongoing efforts to honor those who lost their lives in the conflict.

According to Vietnam News Agency, this repatriation marks the first transfer of remains recovered during the 2025-2026 dry-season campaign. The initiative is a key part of a larger 500-day campaign aimed at locating and recovering the remains of fallen soldiers. This effort underscores the commitment of An Giang province and Cambodian localities to return Vietnam's fallen heroes to their homeland, ensuring that those who made the ultimate sacrifice are honored and remembered appropriately.
