Hanoi: Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court Le Minh Tri has called on the Republic of Korea (RoK) to enhance support, exchanges, and training in electronic investigation and evidence, and in the fight against high-tech and transnational crimes. At a meeting with RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Young-sam on March 4, Tri applauded the fast-growing and effective partnership between the two countries across politics, diplomacy, defence, economy, and culture. He reaffirmed the RoK’s status as one of Vietnam’s leading partners in all spheres.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored the importance of continued collaboration in digital transformation within the judicial sector. The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of Vietnam’s legal system in handling complex technological crimes. Both parties recognized the need for advanced training programs and knowledge exchange to combat the rising challenges posed by cybercrimes and other transnational offenses.
The discussion highlighted the broadening scope of Vietnam-RoK relations, emphasizing the critical role of judicial cooperation in fostering security and stability. This cooperation is part of a broader effort to deepen bilateral ties and address shared challenges in an increasingly digital world.
