Vietnam to Launch First Disability Fashion Show

Hanoi: The first fashion event dedicated to people with disabilities, Vietnam Disability Fashion Show 2025, will take place at the National Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi on August 4. The event, themed ‘The Shape of Will’, is jointly organised by HGI Group, the Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities, and the Vietnam Centre for Vocational Education and Capacity Development for People with Disabilities. The show will feature over 50 models with disabilities from across the country, heard at a press conference on July 15.

According to Vietnam News Agency, this groundbreaking event aims to celebrate inclusivity and empowerment within the fashion industry. By showcasing the talents and resilience of models with disabilities, the organisers hope to challenge societal perceptions and promote greater acceptance and understanding.

The upcoming fashion show will highlight the creative expressions and personal stories of the models, providing a platform for them to redefine beauty standards and inspire others. The collaborative efforts of various organisations involved in the event emphasize the importance of vocational education and capacity development for people with disabilities in Vietnam.

This initiative represents a significant step towards creating a more inclusive society, where individuals with disabilities are given equal opportunities to participate in cultural and artistic expressions. The Vietnam Disability Fashion Show 2025 is poised to become a landmark event, fostering positive change and awareness on a national scale.
