Vietnamese Deputy PM Urges Stronger Regional Logistics, Trade Links at China-South Asia Expo

Hanoi: Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha addressed the opening ceremony of the 9th China-South Asia Expo (CSA Expo) and the 29th Kunming Import and Export Fair on June 19, calling on countries to increase infrastructure investment and improve both regional and global logistics connectivity. In his remarks, Ha emphasised that Vietnam, which boasts a widespread seaport system and is strongly developing strategic rail, road, and air infrastructure, is ready to strengthen cooperation with China and other countries to create seamless and multimodal logistics connectivity.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the importance of enhancing infrastructure investment to facilitate better trade links. Ha pointed out that Vietnam is well-positioned to play a crucial role in this initiative due to its extensive network of seaports and ongoing developments in strategic transport infrastructure. He reiterated Vietnam’s commitment to collaborate with China and other nations to achieve efficient and integrated logistics solutions.

The CSA Expo and the Kunming Import and Export Fair serve as significant platforms for regional economic cooperation and trade discussions. Ha’s call for improved logistics and trade connectivity aligns with the broader goals of these events, which aim to foster economic ties and promote mutual growth among participating countries. The Deputy Prime Minister’s remarks underscore Vietnam’s proactive approach in contributing to regional trade development and infrastructure enhancement.
