Johannesburg: Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held separate meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron and Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Mathias Cormann in Johannesburg on November 23, on the occasion of their attendance at the G20 Summit in South Africa.
According to Vietnam News Agency, these meetings were part of a series of high-level engagements aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between Vietnam and its international partners. During the discussions with President Macron, the two leaders explored avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the realms of trade, investment, and sustainable development. The meeting underscored the mutual commitment of both nations to fostering a more robust partnership.
In a separate meeting with OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann, Prime Minister Chinh discussed Vietnam’s evolving role in the global economic landscape and the importance of multilateral collaboration.
