Hanoi: Vietnam's textile and garment exports reached an estimated 4.7 billion USD in July, marking an 8.2% increase from June and a 4.3% rise compared to July of the previous year, according to official figures. The impressive performance in July significantly contributed to the industry's total export turnover for the first seven months of the year, which reached 27.02 billion USD, reflecting a 2.67% increase compared to the same period last year.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the positive growth in Vietnam's textile and garment sector is attributed to strategic efforts by industry players to secure orders and broaden market reach. The sector has also focused on optimizing production processes to maintain Vietnam's prominence on the global export stage. Despite global economic uncertainties and challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam's textile and garment industry has demonstrated resilience and adaptability in sustaining and enhancing its export performance.
