Hanoi: President of the National Assembly (NA) of the Republic of C´te d'Ivoire Patrick Achi arrived in Hanoi on the evening of August 22, beginning his official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of President of the Vietnamese NA Tran Thanh Man. NA President Achi and his entourage were greeted at the airport by Vu Hai Ha, Standing Deputy Chairman of the NA Committee for National Defence, Security and External Relations. The visit, from August 23-26, comes shortly after Vietnam and C´te d'Ivoire marked the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations (October 6, 1975-2025).
According to Vietnam News Agency, the purpose of President Achi's visit is to strengthen the bilateral relations between C´te d'Ivoire and Vietnam, which have seen significant growth over the past decades. The visit aims to explore new avenues for cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange. Meetings between President Achi and Vietnamese officials are scheduled to discuss mutual interests and enhance collaboration in various sectors.
The visit is also an opportunity for both nations to reflect on the achievements of their diplomatic ties and to set a roadmap for future engagements.
