Lang Son: The northern province of Lang Son is intensifying its efforts to eliminate temporary and substandard housing by April 30, aiming to complete the construction of 951 new houses and repair 1,521 homes for poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged families. This initiative is part of a nationwide campaign focused on eradicating inadequate housing conditions.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Hoang Van Nghiem reported that the province has successfully built 928 new houses and repaired 1,098 homes for households so far. The project has garnered significant support, with organizations, individuals, and the business community both inside and outside the province contributing over 176.7 billion VND (approximately 7 million USD) to the housing support program.

Last year, Lang Son identified more than 7,000 households living in temporary and dilapidated conditions, highlighting the urgent need for intervention. The ongoing efforts in the province are a testament to the collaborative spirit and commitment to improving living conditions for its residents.
