Hanoi: National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man on June 15 chaired a working session with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the NA's Committee for National Defence, Security and External Relations, and the NA Office to strengthen coordination in advisory, support and organisational work for the legislature's external activities.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting aimed to enhance cooperation among various parliamentary bodies to improve the effectiveness of Vietnam's legislative activities on the international stage. The session focused on aligning the efforts of different committees and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support the National Assembly's goals in foreign affairs and national security.
During the session, discussions were held on the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing institutional frameworks. The participants emphasized the need for a cohesive strategy to address challenges in international relations and to leverage parliamentary diplomacy as a tool for national development.
The meeting concluded with an agreement on several measures to boost inter-agency coordination, with a focus on enhancing the capacity of Vietnam's parliamentary bodies to engage with global partners.
