Hanoi:A C-17 military transport aircraft from the Royal Australian Air Force arrived in Hanoi on September 23 to transport Vietnam's Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 8 to South Sudan for United Nations peacekeeping duties.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the deployment follows a send-off ceremony organized by the Ministry of National Defence.

The Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 8 is composed of 63 military personnel. These individuals are drawn from military regions, army corps, military hospitals, the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations, and other related agencies and units. This new team will replace Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 7 at the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) located in Bentiu.
