Hanoi: Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien on March 24 proposed expanding delegation exchanges at all levels to foster mutual understanding, trust, and defence collaboration between Vietnam and Poland. Key collaboration areas include training, UN peacekeeping operations, defence industry, military medicine, and young officer exchanges, Chien said at his talks with Polish counterpart Pawel Bejda in Hanoi.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions aimed to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new avenues for cooperation. By focusing on delegation exchanges, both nations hope to enhance their military capabilities and share expertise in critical areas relevant to their respective defence strategies. The meeting underscored the importance of international collaboration in maintaining regional and global peace and security.
The talks highlighted the potential for joint efforts in UN peacekeeping operations, where both countries can contribute through shared knowledge and resources. Additionally, the focus on military medicine and young officer exchanges reflects a commitment to developing the next generation of military leaders and ensuring the well-being of personnel.
The Vietnamese Defence Ministry’s initiative to broaden defence partnerships aligns with its strategic goals of enhancing national security through international cooperation. The engagement with Poland is part of Vietnam’s broader efforts to deepen relations with countries worldwide, thereby bolstering its defence framework.
