Laos Seeks Vietnam’s Help to Train Journalists, Adopt AI in Media

Vientiane: President of the Lao Journalists’ Association (LJA) Savanhkhone Razmountry on December 8 expressed wish for more professional experience exchanges with the Vietnam Journalists’ Association (VJA), including dispatching seasoned Vietnamese experts to bolster reporting skills in Laos.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Lao Journalists’ Association is aiming to enhance the capabilities of its media professionals by learning from the expertise and experience of their Vietnamese counterparts. This initiative includes inviting experienced Vietnamese journalists to Laos to provide training and share their knowledge in reporting techniques.

Additionally, the collaboration seeks to explore the integration of artificial intelligence within the media landscape in Laos. The LJA sees potential in AI to transform media practices and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of journalistic work in the country.

The move signals a strengthening of ties between the journalist associations of the two neighboring countries, aiming at mutual growth and development in the ever-evolving field of media and journalism.
